Counselor-In-Training Applications

One of the goals of Camp Beacon is to work with our youth in order to make camp happen, and one of the ways we do that is by having counselors-in-training. Counselors-in-training are campers who have attended camp at least once before and who are interested in taking on more of a leadership role with camp and learning skills they would need to be a counselor either here or elsewhere in the future. 

This application is for returning campers only who wish to have the opportunity to attend camp as a Counselor in Training. Please do not apply if you are not a returning camper. Applications will be available from March 1-14. CITs will be interviewed by staff to select from the applicants.  Former CITs are welcome to reapply as well as those new to the experience. CITs will be under the supervision of our Head Counselors while shadowing the role to prepare to potentially apply for a junior counselor position after aging out of camps as well as having valuable experience for employment and education opportunities. Applications are open from March 1 - March 15. After applications are closed, you will be interviewed by the Camp Director by April 1. Decisions will be made by April 8.
